http://www.kcsi.com/pdf/customer/HolidayExpressFlyer2004.pdf The above is the URL for the 2004 schedule for the KCS Holiday Express, which will cover most of the line (all the north-south, but apparently little of the Transcon route). You will need Adobe Acrobat reader to read it. If you don't have it, it's a free download from the KCS website ( http://www.kcsi.com ) Any other CLass 1s, regionals or shortlines doing holiday-type special trains? Post the news in the Ready Track or the respective forums!
The only other thing i have seen is that there is a small train running at Dry Gulch, just north of Pryor, OK. It is a church run christmas thing (church is in Tulsa). Very similar to the train ride in Silver Dollar City. Little propane powered narrow gage engine and a half dozen cars. But I diverge, is the KCS holiday train going to be pulled by the Southern Belle or another engine????
for a couple - three pics, check out my photo album. i never made it up there to see it myself, but my sister stopped by and got a few shots. that f9 is sure sharp looking!!!
Good shots! I never got a chance to see it either, as it stayed pretty much on the original north-south route of the railroad, and off of the Transcon. Perhaps next year...... Thank your sister for sharing these pics with us.
