O.K.... I freely admit that I know nothing about CN and this particular topic (however, I can talk about general asset management or other accounting or economic topics that would probably bore everyone silly

What I would like to do is move on without having to lock the topic.

I have but one question: WHO WILL POST SOME CN PICTURES??? :D

So if the bridges on CN are in the last 10% of their useful lives, then what's the point of repainting them? If they need to be replaced, then replace them. A coat of paint won't make a difference.

As a modeler I love it that the railroads arn't repainting locomotives. It makes for a much more interesting fleet (especially after mergers, leases and engine sales) - just take a look at the CP stands for "Can't Paint" thread. There are some ugly locomotives out there and they sure make great models. :D

CP, CSX, CN, BNSF, and now UP are all known for not repainting units. no bigee at all. And you think CN's bridges are bad... MOVE TO CLEVELAND we have some NASTY bridges there.

2 reasons why I gave up being a mod .

You got a 13 year old expert on the rail business starting a topic that is irrelevant and not true , and rsn48 who is a expert on many subjects including railroad management , oops I forgot , his grandfather was employed by CN so that means he knows alot about the rail business .
