I love those trucks. The tankers are very cool. I could see us doing those if a demand existed.
The split drop deck is interesting. Can't say as I have every seen that before just now.

I will have to do more research.
The ones I did were files cobbled from other files.
The only proper way to do these is start from scratch.
The test projects can hardly be called a waste. if I leaned something, and I believe I did.

Today I arranged the tractor that I have been showing off as individual pieces to be painted first and then put together. Haven't had the time to take it off the supports and test fit everything to see how that went. You can take a look at the way it comes out of the printer and see if this looks like a feasible pathway. 20200721_170009~2.jpg
I mean part of the model comes in at 12 pieces. Adding wheels and tires would add another 10 given that I ship the wheels and tires pre-assembled

Although removing all of the parts might be somewhat time consuming, the reward for all of the effort is how much easier painting the individual components will be.

With the availability of N-Scale chemically etched stainless steel model truck mirrors, given their fragility and the possibility that they may be too thick, it might be best to forgo the print's integrated mirrors.

Can the resin be drilled with a pin vise chucked drill bit?

Here is a look at the 48ft flatbed in use. Jeff gave me a great tip for adding wood nail down strips. Will do that as soon as I get the needed supply. Otherwise here she is with conspicuity stripes applied. Have to say it again, great kit item!!!!

Ooh, you did a great job on that trailer, both designer and modeler!

    WOW!
I need to take more time when I paint samples for viewing.
I knew they had potential but that is pretty awesome.
Mainly commenting on your work, not mine.
I just gave you a bag of bolts. You made that happen !

I guess we could make the bulkhead an add remove item.

Probably have to use some wire for mounts because resin posts that small will not last. Probably would not support it properly either.
I think I could make some pilot holes in the bottom of the bulkhead that lines up with the stake pockets.

Some drilling may be necessary to clean out the pilot holes and make the stake pockets a bit deeper, not to mention round for the wire.

    Should not be hard.

I guess I always dream that the product is inexpensive enough. The short path to various versions is multiple trailers.
Hey, a guy can hope anyway.

Basic point is we do have the bulkheads.
How they get attached is your choice.
I had just planned on adding them to the print when requested.

    Just remember.
What you see is the known. As in definitely possible.
Since these trailers are all at some level parts files I assemble for print.
The actual print can be configured many ways upon your request.

    Ask away.
Via my email link assures speedy answers.
I only check this when I see notices of new comments.
    That has been spotty lately.

I am a little obsessed with this silly truck project. Silly because it's not a very good violin I've spent inordinate amounts of time on it making it a bit more interesting in to my liking. This is where we are at. Is the result of building up the kit that I showed everyone a couple of days ago. 20200727_203811~2.jpg 20200727_203838~2.jpg 20200727_203922~2.jpg
Eventually have a trailer that has a side kit in tarp with painted to match the tractor

Admittedly this will not be everybody's cup of tea. It is a long wheelbase day cab tractor which is a loose interpretation of several real trucks to become our fantasy truck. I took the extra time to do this a little better than I usually do for sample products. I was encouraged by results of the way the 48-foot flatbed turn out done by BNSF FAN. Thanks for the kick in the seat of my pants to do better. new in these pictures is the side kit and tarp for the drop deck trailer this being a 53-foot trailer

Thank you for the kind words Jeff. That drop deck flatbed looks great with that tarp cover and conspicuity stripes. Great stuff Jeff. Really shows off how cool your stuff is. (y)(y)(y)

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I have a new larger format printer so I was testing some HO scale stuff. Which I am sure none of you are interested in so I was not posting it here.
Today I have a new offering a dump trailer. Disability has no actual prototype of any kind other than the size and style certainly exist in real life. Imagine its purpose as whatever you would like it to be.
I sort of rushed this through the paint process to have a sample. It was actually the first test print so it could change it could get better it could be entirely different. Comments? As always fire away.
