Hi Jürg, each time I look at your diorama I'm totally upset! What an awesome diorama! And the use of MTL track is a great improvement comparative to Peco or Marklin track, that are pretty mean from a close looking..... But today I've a question. Two questions indeed. At the first: is your diorama operative, ie part of a layout that actually works? Otherwise, it should be frustrating.... And the second question: did you submit pictures of it to Modelrailroader, for their Trackside Photos chapter? In my opinion it should be a great emphasis for Z scale.... All the best, Dominique
Hello Dominque Thanks for the nice words. No the Diorama is not part of my Layout I used it only to take this nice pictures and that's not frustrating. I really have to think about to submit some pictures to the Modelrailroader Magazin, maybe soon.
February now but still no snow in Switzerland! January was the hottest January since 1854. Ok, time for pictures
Jurg: Would consideer posting a photo of the oveall diaorama showing the background. With clouds changing and what I think are real hills/mountains, some of these views look as if they ae 100% real and not Z. Your photography is as good as your Z. The elevated view of the mission is just spectacular. ...don
Jurg, your photography is just as well done as your diaramas, simply outstanding!!!!! Keep up the great work in both departments.
Juerg, Great photos as usual. Two questions/comments: The UP and SP hoppers don't look the same, what are they? I'm sure one is PennZee, but what is the other? The second comment is that in the USA, you won't actually see the truck tractors on the flatcars along with the trailers. They may do that on the Gotthard, but not here. ;-) Randy
Randy, both are Pennzee Hoppers. I've also the same Hoppers in Santa Fe road name but no SF Steam Locomotive. About the Truck tractors, I think it would look better with the spine cars from Alan Curtis. I think I had to order a few of them.
