Just read in Model Railroader that Life Like will be producing a C-424 and C-425 Alco road switchers. Anyone have one of these yet? Will they be doing another run with more road names? From the photo in the magazine, the detail looks pretty good.

I've seen the ads and discussion that these are forthcoming. Am waiting to hear an announcement that they are in the hobby shops. Unless it somehow slipped past me, (which happens :( ), I don't believe those you've noted are available as yet.

I understood that they are not out yet, and the supply seems to be very limited.

I have 2 of the Lifelike Canadian version C424s in CP Rail that were released last year. These are two of my favorite locos and being I have about 125 locos, 98% Kato and Atlas, to me that is impressive. Nice slow speed and can pull your teeth out with nice detail. The only drawback to these models is that they are not DCC ready. I expect the LL USA models to be just as nice and I have already ordered 2 more.

All I know is that www.4nscale.com has taken my reserve order for SP&S units. I assume that they know something that I don't yet.

Barry, they have been in the works for a while now. I reserved one already! I know, I couldn't afford 7 of the 424's, and 16 of the 425's.......

George is a great guy, and has great prices on much of his inventory. No affiliation, just a good place to get train stuff!
