Here is an Alco S1 on the Nene Valley Railway. It is in the colour scheme of British Steel, who bought the locomotive new from Alco, and donated it to the NVR. The cab was cut down as it was far too high for our load gauge. It needs a great deal of work to resurrect it! Since these pics were taken, it has been cosmetically restored, and painted in Union Pacific scheme! (Looks strange with buffers, though) ------------------ Alan Curtis. Moderator. Sad to say, but with Thomas the Tank Engine sitting right in front of it, most kids won't even notice the Alco. Nice pics nontheless. Eric
Most of our locomotives are 3,000 hp, and most of them are new ones from GM in London, Ont. ------------------ Alan Curtis. Moderator. Member #12 The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.alancurtismodels.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery
