Simply 'Grande, Frank! Looks great! The Coal Liner cares are over the top. Very nicely done. Now you just need a few SD45's in UP and D&RGW to power that Kaiser train.

    Hi Hemi,
right, hopefully I can find time to add a couple more of UP gons to the train. And wait for AZL 's SD45's. ...and I will need to build a couple of modules to build a loop to be able to run the train.

Next picture shows the size compared to one Dime and 10 Euro cent. BTW all text on the cars is readable (..if I wear the right glasses)

Very impressive work my friend! Amazing to see them come from scratch build to rolling stock.

I'm quite interested in the bed pump to evacuate the air for resin castings. I've done a lot of casting for slot cars and have tried Tilia food savers in plastic containers and they don't pull enough mercury. I'm certain my 250 lb body on a pump could pull more HG than the food saver pump.

Could you possibly elaborate on how you went about it?

I also apply a little babypower over the outer mold half. That also helps to reduce air bubbles.
I make a paper funnel with small opening to pour. While pouring, I tap the mold. When the resin comes through the vent holes, I close the box and start pumping out air to get a low pressure in the box. But despite all this I need to correct some castings with little pieces of styrene and a little filler. I'll guess often castings have to be corrected for inperfections. After painting it becomed invissible.

I give the pump a couple of strokes to get air out.

    Hi,

I have added 5 more UP coal liners to my Kaiser coal train. (right now 5x D&RGW and 6x UP):

I have used one AZL truck set and 5x Bowser Fullthrottle this time. Since coal trains will remain coupled most times, only the first and last gon will require MTL couples for me.
