Hi Alan here, a lapsed P4/S4 modeller from years ago. Recently started getting interested again because of DCC and in particular the added atmosphere and realism that sound brings. So I'm now the proud owner of a 7mm Dapol 08 (well, I'm old and my eyes are going!) with Zimo decoder and Coastal DCC sound file. As I'm a cheap skate, into technology and can't hope to remember all the function key assignements on my NCE PowerCab I was really interested to discover DCC++. Had trouble getting my Amazon sourced Deek Robot driver board to work initially but after lots of flux and possibly other debris removal from the board it's burst into life. Had a go at reconfiguring the cab panel and the track circuit - I've only got a straight test track currently! Anyway, seems to be working: Joined this forum to make use of the DCC++ knowledge hereabouts. Alan
Welcome. My first trains are from Jolly Old England (Lone Star Treble-O-Lectric) and fairly recently, I have become fascinated with British railroading. Doug
