Is there a tutorial explaining how to attach RailImages photos (or thumbnails) to posts? I tried a search but didn't find anything. Thanks, Ben
Ben, You have to have the file 100Kb or smaller. Then instead of typing your message in the "quick reply" box, click the button that says "Go Advanced" This will take you to a new message box with more options. There's one to "Manage attachments", quite easy from there.
Sheldon, Thanks. I think I see how to include attachments from my computer but not from RailImages. I tried using the "Insert Image" option using the URL from RailImages but only got a square with a red x. It may be the size is too large. I'll check that. I thought maybe there is a permanent tutorial and my search was not worded so it could be found. Ben
I'm not sure about the old railimages, but the new one, you can click the button that says "copy to clipboard" - you have 3 options, I can't recall what all three are, but one is for a thumbnail. Then when you are typing your message (even in the quick reply box) you can simply hit ctrl+v (or right click->paste) the link you copied earlier from the button.
Just to be clear, and we talking about "Attachments" or images found in "RailImages" becuase they are done differently
TUTORIAL: Changing your "Message Editor Interface" and More on RailImages Tutorial - Uploading images directly to a post These should be the ones you need but let me know if you need more help.
I'm talking about images (full size photos or thumbnails), in RailImages. Let me study these. They should help me. Thanks, Ben
Ben, Attaching a photo is uploading it directly to the post as described above. Posting a photo from a remote location (like RailImages) is when you use BB code (provided on RailImages) or the enhanced editor to enter the URL and cause the photo to appear full sized in a post. Charlie
