I was just given a piece of paper. The logo on it looks that that used by the US railroad Genesee & Wyoming family of companies.

Can anyone give me some background on this operation? Somehow, I had not heard of the Australian Railroad Group. Does G&W own some interest in it? What comprises the "Group?"

im not 100% sure, but the australian national railway was split up and the south australian freight services portion of it was sold to the australian southern railroad, which i belive is own by genesee and wyoming, and clyde engineering.
this is coming off the top of my head, so i could be wrong, but maybe there is some info here http://locopage.railpage.org.au/

    hope ive helped a little

    Steve-

Thanks. I'll check it out. Trying to figure out who owns/leases/controls/is invested in/etc, whatever railroad around the world these days, is tough. There isn't the long term stability there once was. It changes so fast.....
