Rob, any hints or ideas as to weather or not we'll be seeing big or little steam? Ten wheelers are kinda nice.
The SD45's are all sold out? How about a run of them in plastic? After the GP7's, and GP9's. Also, maybe some earlier GE stuff like Conrail and NP U25C's, U28C's, and U30C's. -Robert
We, the modern minority like Tim B, want modern power like GP60. As much as like the C44 and SD70, I still prefer some modern B power.
I would love to see more SD45s. I don't think AZL has decided what they plan on offering after the SD70s. Of course, I have heard some great concepts from AZL. I only wish I could share! It appears the Ztrack subscriber price for the AC12 will be $1,550.00. MSRP is $1,650.00. Shipping, handling and insurance extra. Rob
I don't know if you guys are in the minority or not, but I am glad to see anything new come out. I haven't made my mind up yet as to which way I'll go! The more we can get manufactures to produce what we want, the greater varity there will be for all of us. Heck, I think a lot of people are going to start modeling two different era's in Z just becasue they can. The more I think about it, my old layout will probably be transition period, and my new layout will be modern. At least that is my thoughts for now
Ya, I'm with Joe S. I'm just glad these manufacturer's are kickin' it up a notch in Z! I model the mid-fifties, but all this other stuff is cool too! Now, when are those GP7/9's coming out again?
A very good Website about the Cab Forward, the reason behind the Cab Forward and what happends when Hoboes riding on the monkey deck, can you find here: http://www.steamlocomotive.com/cabforward/ Regards Jürg
Bryan... you are tricky! Update, the AC12s are in stock. We will be quality testing them this weekend. The first locomotives will be going out to Ztrack subscribers starting Monday. The Ztrack subscriber price is $1,550.00 plus shipping, handling and insurance. If you are not a Ztrack subscriber, please contact an authorized AZL dealer. Rob Kluz
AC-12 update 3 Z scale crazies 24 hours of testing 150 locomotives 1 incredible run of brass Z scale steam. Guys, these locomotives are awesome! I still need to test how many cars they can pull, but WOW what beauties. The first pre order locos will be shipped tomorrow. Rob
You task me... NTS in Philly or AC-12 in my hands? Tough call. Thinking thinking... Thinking... Thinking... -Robert
I guess I shouldn't mention the SD70s I played with this weekend. You know, you could always pick up the AC12 when you are in Philly. Just a thought.... Rob
He's telling the truth, guys. These things (the AC12s) are jawdroppingly gorgeous, and they run so smoothly, you just won't believe it. Yeah, I own one. #4280. It's the new pride of my fleet. I can't wait for the next show!! Thanks Rob, for having us by. I hope we weren't too much in the way. And thanks for the "early shipment". [ March 19, 2006, 10:02 PM: Message edited by: Kez ]
Oh my gosh, the SD70s........... Just wait until you see the first three. I already have 2 on reserve (both NS), and I'm prepared to reserve a third, now that I've seen the CN. It's SO PRETTY!! I was awestruck. START SAVING NOW. You WILL want these.
Enought writing. We want pictures of the engines. Its a good thing I dont model steam. Otherwise, I could really get in trouble with the significant other. But with the SD70, I want it now. Waiting is one of things I do not do well.
Rob, Please take a few minutes off and post some pictures, close-up's, you guys are killing me. Robert Ray, go for the steam.... There is an NTS every year..... Kim
Here is the image I have posted on the Ztrack site. It is of the preproduction sample, but it is as accurate as you get. I will post a closeup later today. The locomotives will not have SP on the tender. Though the SP logo did appear on some of the tenders, all the roadnumbers released by AZL ran with straight black tenders. Rob
