Jt, only Ztrack carries them, and they are out of stock. Your only hope is to find somebody that did a dcc conversion. Are you having problems with your SD70, and what makes you think its the board. Maybe we can help you fix the problem.

This morning i installed a Z2 decoder. the front headlight never worked, so i removed the rear one to put in front. placed board back in loco. Now it dont run. Thought if i could start over with a new board it would be OK,
If any one has a board to spair will pay you for it. Joe Todd

You should not need a new board, there is nothing on it that is needed for DCC, except the 2 LEDs and chip resistor so it has to be able to run at least the motor.

If the motor does not run, it is not the LEDs that are causing the problem. Either the decoder itself or the 2 metal motor tabs. Make sure that the two motor contacts are not shorting to the chassis either. Look VERY closely, with a VERY well lit area and magnification. Also make sure that none of the LED leads or decoder wires stick thru the board too far or the can short to the chassis.

Make sure the board is making contact to the notches in the posts (relatively good friction. Does not have to be super grip tight). Make sure you have the correct color sequence. See the TCS DCC site as it is correct (early AZL data sheets were wrong). http://www.tcsdcc.com/Customer_Content/Installation_Pictures/Z_Scale/AZL/GP7/AZL_GP7_Z2-Decoder.php

There is a very small + on the circuit board, that goes to the non-flat side of the LED. The decoder white and yellow wires go to the flat-side of the LED. If they are dead or you are unsure or, you really want a better warm white color, replace with warm-whites from Miniatronics (http://www.miniatronics.com/Merchan...e=12-310-05&Category_Code=6_4&Product_Count=2) or ebay. Youl'll need at least a 15K (15,000 ohm) or higher resistor to clam down these more modern super bright whites.

Joe, after the dcc conversion, did the engine run at all. Like Jeff suggested, check your connections. I would make sure the board is making good connection with the chassis. use your finger to push down on the board. The board is thin and can warp when too much heat is used. Also, do a decoder reset. It save me couple times from taking the decoder out. to reset the decoder program 2 into cv8.
