You may have seen a picture similar this a dozen times but today we completed this final test for summer operations. Apart from a previously unseen kink in a siding eveything went well. Tonight I'll straighten out that bit of track and tomorrow we'll put new gravel on the walkways (roads). Done! We'll "practice" for the NMRA open house in August by 1st having all the neighbours over for an evening on the deck, and watching trains. They know what I'm doing out back but haven't seen anything yet. No chance of informed criticism there. Then we'll have the model RR club over. If we pass THAT test I'll feel confident about the NMRA convention crowd. Have a great summer. Or winter, for my friend in Perth. Dave
