I often think of that movie at times when working on my layout. If only I had a degenerator, is that what they called it? I still have HO stuff from my former layouts and don't think I'd like to shrink some of it and run it in N scale.

Update on the layout. The Heat Shrink Connectors haven't gotten here yet. Hoping by Monday or later. Betting on later.

Will be working on stripping remaining wires. Then I need to find my heat gun. I know where my soldering irons are. So, we shall see what happens next.

You all have a good weekend.

Imagine the detail one could achieve if they could model in HO (or O!) and shrink it to N scale!

Most of what I want is available in HO. But now I'm kind of reduced to N and they don't have what I want. Just new stuff.

Heck, why not start with 1:1 and shrink them. We wouldn't need DCC or sound (not that I have either).

For now I'll stick with heat shrinking the connectors.

I don't have any real news to share at this time so I will head to the kitchen to get some breakfast. The cat's have been fed. So far all is good.

    Quiet here in Idaho Country.

I've been watching several videos of trains that Vic Yoder has shot on the La Mesa Model Railroad Club, San Diego, Ca. I know it's HO. But I can't find anything in N Scale.

There are two videos out there of my Santa Fe and Union Pacific mail trains. The video was shot by a good friend. Unfortunately, he has locked his channel. Not sure why but that would be his right. So, to give you an example of where I'm headed on my layout. Here is Vic's Video.

Can't find mine and I can't submit Vic's. Hang on. We are having technical problems. Grumble, grumble, grumble.

Many of you are of the persuasion, best said, Toy Train Enthusiast. I have no problem with that. Some of you are more advanced or as I say like to say, Graduated. Moving toward prototype operations. At least that's how some of us Realistic Modelers or Railroad Modelers, in the hobby view it. Most of us started out with a Toy Train Layout and discovered that wasn't really going to get the job done. It wasn't what we wanted. Lacks certain appeal. If you get my drift.

Well, I'm going to attempt to pick up the address of the video. If that doesn't work you can visit Vic Yoders channel on You Tube.

Mike Fifer does have some N scale Santa Fe Passenger Trains you can check out his videos. You'll see a difference in how Vic Yoder makes up his trains. Vic, runs his trains very closely to how Santa Fe operated. Awesome to watch.

Don't know what the day will bring.

    More later.

With the heat shrink connectors on their way. I started looking for my heat gun. Is it over here? No. Is it in here? No. Is it, well heck, it can't be in here this is Christmas Stuff.

After digging thru / through / through-out boxes I've yet to unpack. i found my router that will allow me to hook up my computer to my printer. The TV router for some such programming off of a WiFi.

Then I kept remembering I had it in the bottom drawer, of what piece of furniture?. Now which chest of drawers, tool box, tool storage might that be. So, I move things around and pull all the drawers in the dressers out. Nope. Not there.

Lot's of sectional track, i may never use but could be handy at some point. Motors, electronics, train parts and more. Just no heat gun.

Okay, last resort and last place to look. The Shed. Sure enough in the bottom drawer of my tool wrangler. There it is.

Nothing stopping me now. Except. Back to the door to check for the package. Nada, it hasn't arrived. Okay, what does tracking say. It's in Boise, taking a nap. Maybe out for delivery tomorrow. Let's not hurry the process. It isn't like I've been waiting forever. Or has it?

More news as news breaks around here. What did I break now?

    Aiiyiiyii !!

Assuming you don't give up beforehand, it's always in the last place you look!

Don't think I haven't approached that bridge and almost crossed it. The quitting bridge.

I usually wait until I have a bridge to cross and then decide what i will do. I've tried to plan out the future but seldom does it happen that way.

Still waiting on the heat shrink connectors to arrive. They came out of Kentucky. I'm thinking they had to get the mule train packed up and had to swim the Ohio River. The ferry wasn't working. Pretty sure it got stuck in Cincinnati, where a bunch of country pumpkins had to awe and ooo over it but never did figure out what they were for. Never seen anything like that before.

Accrding to tracking the package is still hanging out in Boise. Sheez.

They are here. The heat shrink connectors arrived. Sure enough the mail person showed up pulling pack burrows behind him. Mail Person, does that sound right?

The package is smaller then I anticipated which makes the connectors smaller then i had hoped for. Got's to see them if i hope to use them.

    More on this later.

If the mail person was a male, he's a mailman.

If the mail person was a female, she's a mailwoman, that is if we can determine what a woman is in this upside down country, these days.

OK. Now come help me find a small package in which I put a small depot and two NP M-O-W sheds. Or at least point me in the right direction! :ROFLMAO:

Best advice I can give. Start at the last place you think you might find it. Does that really work?

It's over on the coroner of the desk right next to the model of Rick's Mortuary. Say what? What did I just say? Coroner? No try the corner next to the tools.

I don't know Ken, I can't find half the things I set out to gather in preparation for the wire maze project. And I just ordered most of it. I said while hanging my head looking under the train layout.

You won't believe what I ran into when finally under the table. Most of the wires are stripped and ready to be rejoined. Seems they shrunk sometime during the move and half of them disappeared. Probably into the pile of dirt I swept out of the truck. Oh well. fixable but I'm going to spend more time then I'd like.

Have fun. Got to go shopping.

As my dad always used to less-than-helpfully remind me; "You will find it in the last place you look for it."

    So look there first.

That coroner is going to give me a coronary over by the cornice in the corner if he doesn't cease being so corny with that cornet.
