Been working 6 days a week and long days at that. This afternoon is my first surf day in a while, and I just discovered that the WP SD70ACe was released last week and has since sold out, while looking over new releases at Z Scale Monster.
The BNSF ACe is also sold out.
Good thing Montana Rail Link is not as popular, I better snap up a set of MRL SD45's before they are gone too.

What Z have you missed out on lately?

Relax, its just injection molded plastic. Unless a fire at the Ting-a-ling fireworks factory spreads next door to the Zing-a-ling locomotive factory in Hop Sing city, and melts the make-a-Z-thing molds, there will be plenty more where those hot cakes BNSF SD70ACe's came from (Sept/Oct.) Besides, didn't you read the 411 from the owner? Quote "One NS Heritage, One UP Heritage, One eastern road name, and One western road name release on average 4 road names per month End quote through December 2016. Quote: (because they all get produced at the same time, I actually have them all in the warehouse now.) End Quote. Timed release, because we can't have any more 10 for $799.99 fire sales don'tcha know.

Now, if the Zing-a-ling locomotive factory will just build more GP38-2 no-crumbly chassis for their quote "will let you know more about the (GP38-2 chassis) replacement program once AZL has finalized it" end quote, I'd like to get three "that's the way the fortune cookie chassis crumbles" GP38-2's off the display queen shelf.

    Robert,
It seems to me you need to get yourself a personal shopper. They're all the rage in Silicon Valley, and the great companies are offering them to their employees.
Hans has already apologized for not making more and Rob(A) has promised to get all those boxes out of the spare bedroom by Christmas, so what more could you ask?
Actually it's been 9 days since the announcement. The BNSF appear to have sold out over last weekend, but the WP heritage unit was still available when I checked ZSM on Friday. Sort of reminds me how fast the Challengers sold out.

It's sorta funny. Me too. I was in Germany for Altenbeken when I got the announcement from Hans at the show, then then e-mail from AZL posting. Didn't pay attention to the quantities and tried placing my orders yesterday (week later, Saturday) while at the airport in France. WHAT ?!?! Sold Out ?!? Scrambling, I got one with a subsequent, oops, out of stock. Searching AZL Authorized dealers, got one of each ("last one") from 2 dealers. Others no stock info or out of stock.

Really just wanted the WP but having the BNSF gives me something different (never liked that color scheme). I only going to get a UP heritage one. The rest are yours !

Oh well, I'll just have to wait for someone to kick off so I can get the WP at an estate sale some day. Fortunately these heritage series locos are destine to be most peoples shelf queens.

Now, now Robert, no one needs to die. It's just a toy locomotive, that looks really good and runs very well. :)

PM me as I think I have an answer to your pacific question. Act now, while the supply lasts.

Guys there are more BNSF coming. We had some reserves of the -1s and -2s. These will be available to dealers, and direct, as soon as we have them.

Yes the WPs are sold out.

There are a lot of different road names and versions of the SD70ACes to come. It is going to be an interesting year!

Yes, but it's also UP. And how often do you run across a UP loco that isn't yellow? But it really is a good looking locomotive.

My WP ACe showed up today! Yay! It is one of the most beautiful paint jobs I have seen in Z to date. I have it on my desk, and it will stay here for me to admire every day until the MoPac or Katy takes it's place. Those 3 are the only Heritage locos I want, then I need to collect a bunch of MRL units next.

It would look more beautiful on your modules (y). Maybe a July4 run at the office. First, I think you need a new module for it

IMHO, the MoPac and Katy both look even better than the WP. They are all stunning.

Standing order, I'll pay $300 each for a MoPac and a Katy when they come out to the first person who wants to sell theirs.

I found another surf day and discovered how low the release numbers are for the UP Heritage units. Far less than many of the rare brass releases of days past, there will be only 40 subscriptions to the whole UP Heritage series less the sold out WP, and only up to 10 of each roadname will go to dealers. The subscriptions are no longer shown on the AZL website, so that means up to 10 each MoPac and Katy will be released into the wild at some unknown moment to immediately sell out.

So feeding frenzy mode ON! I Know Rob Kluz loves this approach to Z Scale, and without MTL in the new loco release game to moderate, it's the way of the future... EXCLUSIVE!

It's 12:00 noon on Saturday 4-30-2016 and The subscriptions links are still there and active I was able to add both to my shopping cart.

Go to the AZL Direct home page and click on the UP WP Heritage unit picture where it sais Heritage Subscription Plan
or for those who can not find it try this link
    http://www.azldirect.com/azl-locomotives/sd70ace

Anyone interested in getting these units should take a minute and read through all the post
    AZL SD70ACes Are here!
on AZL's Forum. You might just find some interesting info there.
