Caught two trains in rapid succession yesterday. First was an empty grain train with no dpu on the rear heading east to somewhere in ND.
And the second was a coal train pulling east. The GP on the head end is DIT for Dilworth, MN, that's what I heard on the radio. And still some of these BN hoppers out there,
Saw this power on an eastbound manifest earlier today so grabbed a couple of quick shots in the morning, Then later in the day, they were using the power to do some switching so was able to get this shot, And several hours later, after I figured that the train was long gone to Dickinson, ND, I spotted them setting on the siding at Hodges near sunset! Of course, with lights off they must be waiting for a westbound, and voila! Here it came! After that one raced by, 35 minutes later the second westbound arrived, nearly too dark to get video, but it was a nice try,
Saw a few more foreign units around this week. Was able to catch a couple on camera. Here's one of my favorite paint jobs, And this manifest came in with the pole load illegally placed directly behind the power. The outbound crew sat it out, refusing to take it east. I assume this load will head east further back in another train. Grainy night shot of this guy on the rear of a grain load, westbound, And a wagon body!
It has been a while since there was some, then a bunch at once. And now, traffic is down slow, slow, slow. Hopefully there will be an uptick soon. With more of that neat power!
This westbound oil can was having some brake issues, so the outbound crew pulled it from the depot to the west end after boarding. There's some nice sunset glint off the new oil cans!
The start of yesterday had this load begging for a photo! And the afternoon had this bit of work equipment posed for pictures!
In the early morning -12 F fog today, this Slot Machine was setting on the west end waiting for Monday, probably. And later in the morning, this coal train power picked up a third unit, and it so happened to be all GE and in descending order of NSF paint schemes!

I have seen a few this last month, but only caught this one here. Am waiting for a KCS or TFM gray ghost, that would be neat!
Been busy with frozen stuff lately, but did catch some switching on the evening of the 9th, And yesterday watched as this section guy finished his work so a coal empty could enter 2 track. Apparently the switch had been frozen, as it was -24F the last two nights. Only -19F this a.m.! And the video, of course! Seeing fewer and fewer of these trains.....
