well, today was BNSFs (almost) last day of doing track up grades in Canada. They have been running alot of work trains, replacing ties and so on. Today was mostly a clean up from the work day. They improved track conditions as well. A sperry will go through in about 6 hours from now. Speed has been increased on most of the line from 40 to 50 miles an hour for passenger trains. I am unaware of changes to freight. I was kinda suprised that they didn't relay the hole thing now that there is so much more rtraffic. Also, the BNSF yard (if u wanna call it that) has basically been abondand. All Trains go to CNRs thorton yard. A bad move if you ask me, there is now to much traffic going through there. And last but not least we see the Employee Special on Thursday. BNSF is exciting here in Vancouver. Happy Railroading!! Dane N. ------------------ BC Rail King TAMR2860@Canada.com for TAMR info. Thanks for the update, Dane. You live in a very interesting area! It's a shame that you are always talking about passenger trains, though - instead of freight ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.ac-models.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery Alan's European Gallery Alan's British Steam Gallery
You might think i've been in a cave, but what's the current situation with the BNSF CN merger? Name, Locos, etc... _____________________________________________ A BNSF fan heavily occupied...
They have also been doing a ton of work on Stevens Pass, the last 3 times i have been over it in the last two weeks I have seen no trains but a good supply of BN trucks vans and even a big green BN bus. Kevin
