Just wondering- I know the top is your focus, but will you be adding something to keep the shelves from sagging?
The back is 1/8" mesonite and the shelves are 15/32 plywood. I was thinking of running the 1x2 down the center if not along the front. I have some 1x4 as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
That looks like 12" wide, if you add 1x2 frames around the bottom of the shelves you will do fine. I would also add some support at the bottoms where you have the casters. You will get unwanted sagging if you don't. Dale "nine fingers" Baker

Ok staging yard (carts) almost complete. They have been painted and have the digitrax UP5 in place. Now to run bus wire, power wire for the UP5, and loco er cable. Also time to glue on cork and then I can start laying track. I need to purchase two more switches and then woo hoo.
