    Hi Everyone, Oct 8th, 2000 T - 11:25 Hrs MDT.

I guess One has to make Confessions every Now & Then. Calgary is sure One Big C.P. Rail
Town, can't help but Notice. Hey What the Heck, I Grew up With C.N. & C.P. Back Home in
Montreal. Yes I Confess I do like my C.N./G.T.W./C.V. Combination, Like the Old
Green & Black Psgr Cars. The C.N. Maple Leaf,
the Orange Cabooses plus the Nice Green Diesel Units etc. We Traded in later for the Black & Orange etc, But I had a lot of Fun with the Likes of C.N. 6218, 6060. plus all
Those Psgr Extras we ran out of Ontario & Quebec with Various Types of Diesels etc.
Lot of Fun, but I still get to Railfan those
C.P. SD 90s, GE Units to Supelment my Diet of C.N. 56, 5700 SD 70/75s and GE 24/2500s
here in Calgary. Got to have a Balance Diet of Railfanning/Model Railroading, to Keep on the Go, etc. If I'm Lucky I can have a Bit of Fun with 2816 in the Year 2001. Maybe my Local Brinks Truck will Finance those Steam
    Trips for Me.
Have a Great Railfanning/Model Rail Roading Week Everyone.

    Andrew Wallice Matheson,
    Calgary.

Hi There, October 8th, 2000. 17:45 Hrs MDT.

Thanks for the Photo. Here is a Surprise for YOU. I have "Train Orders" (C.N.) from
5218 when it was on a Psgr Extra Trip out of
Montreal way back in the 70s. It was Black & Orange then with the CN on the side. Its Special for me as I have lots of Train Orders from C.N. 6218 - a Northen Steam Engine. So 5218 a C.N. SD 40-2 Diesel has a
    Special Significance for me.

    Thanks,

    Andrew,
    Calgary.

If I ever get them on line, I have about 100 pics of CNR SD40s in the Vancoiver area, as this is where they spent the ladder of their life. In fact, Vancouver has one of the last operating orignal condition SD40s on the CNR system. However, she is sitting in Thorton Yard, begging to be used. You can see the noodle through the wearing layer of zebra stripes. It is a sorry site. Almost as bad as the GP40 (?) that is so badly weathered from doing hump service in Edmonton you can bearly tell it is CNR!

    Happy Railroading!
