Headed over to the western part of Kentucky to track down some more cabooses to add to my photo collection.(Trying to find all the ones in the state,in addition to others in the area).

First stop was in Whitesville,KY, for an ICG Caboose, road number unknown, on display in a park:

I headed north after leaving Whitesville, towards a suburb of Owensboro called Thruston. An L&N Troop Sleeper sat in a park there along with L&N Caboose #6123:

I made my way through Owensboro,to the western part of town,to a rural area that had a subdivision and Panther Creek Park. I had to travel down a very narrow road and across a very rickety looking bridge to reach this SCL/LN / CSX Caboose, but I got it:

After leaving Panther Creek Park,I headed north, towards the small town of Stanley. At a residence/small business called Kountry Kutter, sat IC Caboose 9355:

Leaving Stanley,I headed west towards Henderson, dodging some road construction on U.S. 60 by taking the Audubon Parkway. I managed to find L&N Caboose #6427 along the waterfront despite having to take a slight detour due to some more street closures. The CSX bridge over the Ohio River can be seen on the left in the background.

I headed north to Evansville after leaving Henderson, and caught several items of interest at the transportation museum there. L&N Caboose #132:

L&N Passenger Car #3052, "Tennessee Club":

Another passenger car sat behind the train here, but I could not get a decent shot of it.

Chicago,Milwaukee,St. Paul & Pacific Steam Engine #1416 also sat at Evansville's transportation museum:

I headed back south after leaving Evansville. I stopped at Uniontown, but couldn't find the caboose there. It's there,I just need to double check to make sure I know exactly where it is. I continued on south, towards Wheatcroft,KY,and caught another IC Caboose(IC 9677) by a rail trail:
I kept continuing south,to Princeton,KY,to another ICG Caboose, #199331, at the Prinecton Railroad Museum. The folks there invited me in,and I spent a good hour looking at all sorts of old memorabilia and news articles.(Ft. Knox Gold Trains,Accident Reports,Injury Reports, etc). Also got to sit at the "controls" of what was once an L&N GP35.

Leaving Princeton, I headed west to Paducah. First up,I caught a now fenced in NKP Caboose #414 at a storage facility in Paducah:

I continued towards the river front, where several railroad items sat along the flood wall on display.

IC #1518,one of the last Paducah built steam engines I believe:

IC Caboose #8045 rounded out the "train" by the flood wall in Paducah:

Southern Caboose X389 wasn't very far south of the train by the flood wall, and I managed to make it the last catch of the day:

I'll be heading to a race tomorrow, the track sits near the NS CNO&TP,so I may have more photos after tomorrow.

Amazing how much time can disappear, when detouring around to find something. A couple of weeks back, I spent an hour driving in circles trying to spot a caboose. Town had changed so much i could not spot it.

You've caught a lot! I did not know that Milw loco was on display there. Looks well kept.
