Chasing the special edition Juice Train 7/27/2012

Hello Everyone:

I headed south today to chase the CSX Juice Train from Bradenton, FL to Tampa, FL. The reason this is the special edition juice train is because CSX is shooting a new

commercial with this train.

Alright here we are coming across the 301 bridge I get a shot of the CSX drawbridge.

Arriving at Rossi Park in Bradenton I get another shot of the drawbridge

10 minutes pass and here comes the northbound juice train check out the two huge cameras on the front of the lead engine

After that I get a head of him and I set up at the bridge in Ruskin, FL notice on the bridge it still shows ACL RR on it

Then getting on US 41 heading north I get a pacing shot of the train

Coming into Gibsonton, FL I get a few shots of him coming around the turn

Arriving in Tampa, FL I stop at a crossing to get a shot of him

Then it was its for one last stop I got him at 78th street in Tampa

Yeah Q/L 740 northbound runs on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and Q/L 741 the southbounds runs seven days a week. Im not sure if CSX is going to clean up the cars or not I sure would hope so they would clean them up that stuff would not look good on T.V.

 

Train ID for the Juice Train has changed

The Northbound loaded train is now Q140 and the Southbound empties are Q141 except one day when it is Q121.

Logic of the change escapes me excep that the Southbound train does pick up intermodal freight at Philadelphia.

 

Cars are owned by Tropicana - sprucing up their exterior would be their responsibility.
