Major part of many layouts is the COAL MINE. Many prototype coal mines supported BEE-HIVE Coke Ovens, where coal was converted to Coke. Which is used in the steel making industry. This is in past history, not today where Coke is processed in By-Pass ovens, where all the gases and such are reclaimed. Talking just about Bee-Hive Ovens here. Could somebody describe how coal is made into Coke in these ovens or direct me to website or such that details making Coke. ANY information would be WELCOMED.
