I had to make a trip to Council Bluffs last weekend for a Saturday memorial service. I lost a close cousin to cancer, his second battle. Was going to make the trip to visit him in the hospice, but that changed quickly. So, I had a few hours to spare early Saturday in town, and was able to find a few spots to video and photo trains, which always is a relaxing and calming thing. Cousin Roger would have definitely approved.

These first two videos were at the 'east' end of the UP yard, a couple of eastbounds,

Of course, you have to go to the Rock Island depot museum there, it is a neat little place and is right in the middle of a lot of train action,

The transfer job to the UP yard when I arrived,

Followed by his return a couple of hours later, what a horn!!

And a few teasers of the collection, more to come

And a few more shots. There is a lot of access to the cars and locos!

Nice. Great horn and an older EMD chanting away.
