I checked my photos... the most recent C30-7 that I shot was # 7088 shot on 11/4/2005. The most recent C36-7 was shot on 10/30/2004. My, how time flies!

After I posted, the Central Muchigan came to mind, but remember, I was mentioning the only U-boats I have seen so far. B23-7s and Super Series rebuilds are running on the Arkansas & Oklahoma, but no U-boats.

PS- whatever happened to the MEC "baby" U-boats?

Several former CSX MoW U18B's are operating for the Pickens Railroad in and around Pickens, South Carolina. Still orange, too!

There are a number of other roads with U-boats.

    Martin Marietta Aggregates has U23Bs:

    So does Wimpey Minerals:
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=67612
So does the Nashville & Western:
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=77724
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=85893
Transkentucky Transportation uses mostly U36Bs, at least one U28B, and at least into 2000, a U25B:

MCVX (whatever that is) owns a U36B, clearly ex-CSX:
    http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=150685
The Nashville & Eastern also has U30Bs and a U36B:
    http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=21636
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=116686
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=39480
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=94980
Pennsy Supply at least had an early U28B and U23Bs:
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=80700
    http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=66376
Since the Kyle Railroad and Enterprise Coal shut down their U30Cs

    http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=10364
I believe the Lake Superior & Ishpeming is the only operator of U30Cs, or any 6-axle boat for that matter:

MCVX is the Massachusetts Call Volunteer Firefighters Association... they have to do with firefighter training. I have seen several of their cars and should have photos somewhere. I read that CSX donated the loco to them.

Had CSXT 5529 today, ex-C&O 8247 (B30-7) as my 2nd unit. Started to see the ex-NS exx-CR B40's. 2 of them in Walbridge today. Still black, but with CSX yellow reflective numbers on the cab.

    A few notes...

Providene & Worcester sold their sole U18B to Southern Railroad of New Jersey

The 10 Maine Central U18Bs were retied by Guilford. 8 were scrapped and 2 (404 & 407) are now owned by RTEX (Rail Trusts Equipment) and stored in Lachine, Canada

Ohio Central acquired two of LS&Is U30Cs...

Chessie, the SD40 (CSX 4601) in your picture is rebuilt. Note the extended-range dynamic brake contactor access hatch on the dynamic brake blister. It is the newer -2 style hatch.

Not a Uboat, but still ex-CSX:

LLPX GP40 3109, ex-CSX still in that road's MOW "pumpkin" scheme, now in service on Heart of Georgia, on tail end of SAM Shortline excursion train at Plains, GA, home of one Jimmy Carter. Am guessing this was from the Chessie side of CSX based on the slot on the battery box door.

I knew Guilford had retired its U18Bs, and suspected that P&W had. I didn't know that Ohio Central owned any C-boats.
