What would you recommend Digitrax DN125IN or TCS 1298 EUN651? Pros and Cons on both? I'm new to DCC and my 1st Gevos.

Pretty much Ford vs Chevy... I have the DN125in in all of mine and they preform very well. Nice easy install for either of them.

There is also the Zimo decoder for about the same price you get a 4 function decoder that is smoother than either the Digitrax or the TCS decoders. It is the MX621N decoder from Zimo.

I have tried both the TCS and the Digitrax with no problems., Then I decided to take a shot with Zimo. Wow does it make them move a lot smoother and it has so many more features. It might be time to really take a look at them.

    See: http://www.mrsonline.net/html/small-scale_decoders.html

    They are really great decoders!

By the way, i have converted all of my FVM Gevos to Zimo because I like them so much better.

David, which Zimo decoder did you use? Also, have you tried the ESU lokpilot? I'm curious as to how the Zimo compares to the ESU.

I used the MX621N. Love them. I have not tried ESU decoders yet, but they are on my list for a few applications.
