Isn't that a Plymouth? If so, B-Mann made a model many years ago....lousy runner, but cute for a diorama. [IMG]

Not sure how oddball........But I just managed to get extremely lucky today, while bumming Denver:

And some funky looking unit........Not sure what it is though. Wasn't about to try getting any closer either.

Is that an RS rebuild with an EMD prime mover and radiator fans? </font>[/QUOTE]The Ft. Smith Railroad, a subsidiary of Pioneer Rail, still runs in Ft. Smith on former MP (later UP) trackage in & around Ft. Smith out to Barling, AR and Fort CHaffee. They also ran the branch on out to Paris, AR, but the line was cut back at Ft. Chaffee and abandoned east of there.

That RS3 rebuild is a so-called "Dewitt Geep", an RS3 re-engined by Penn Central (or Conrail, can't remember which at the Dewitt Shops in Syracuse, NY. IIRC, it has 1200 HP.

FSR now uses ex-Santa Fe GP20s painted black with yellow stripes in service.

There were two of them, stored at Thionville. I think at least one has been preserved.

Here's one for those who think they can't paint their model diesels worth a darn:

An ex-Santa Fe GP7R, lately used on teh Central KAnsas Ry., rusting in the weed's at Omnitrax's Loveland (CO) facility. Looks like the paint used was water-soluble, and it's been "tagged" more than a few time.

Lesson here, campers, is never use too much thinner in your paint mix.....and also don't go bozo on the weathering. :D
