Quintessential yooper Jason Asselin has repeatedly captured Escanaba & Lake superior (Ex WSOR, Ex Milwaukee Road) FP7 #600 in freight service. Recently, she's been back out in regular use and putting on a fine show. Good looking old girl for 69 years of age. Check out the most recent video here:

Thinking of rare species, I read earlier this year that the last two Baldwin Sharks that have been sequestered in MI for decades will be donated to a museum or museums when their owner John Larkin, President of the E&LS passes away someday. He had the foresight to acquire replacement engines and parts, which bodes well. Personally, I'd like them to go to one museum so that the A-A pair could remain together.

Have seen a few of his past videos. Wish there would be some times when we did not have the commentary- Just train sounds. It does look like they need to do a bit of serious track work.

Staying a pair would be great and in NYC paint would be great! Regardless, I hope they end up somewhere they will be both protected and displayed for all to see.

I'll admit I have a soft spot for them in the patchout scheme they wore on the Michigan Northern as that's where I became acquainted with them and in fact will be modeling the 1216 that way as I only had the opportunity to get the one. I would not, however, complain about seeing them in any of the liveries they wore. At least for now, they are tucked away in safe storage away from vandals and the weather.

BTW, as far as EL&S trackwork, they have done a certain amount of maintenance. It used to be worse.
