I finally found an easy way to make 53' chassis.

These are two different 53' chassis. They are made from two Deluxe Innovations 40' container chassis kits. Out of these two kits you can make one 53' chassis and one 20' chassis, although the landing gear mounting pads will need to be moved forward on the 20' chassis.

These are very common chassis configurations for the Pacific Northwest and other heavy haul states. The wheels on these chassis are from Make My Model, and they'll make them up for you if you email them, I believe they're about $8 for ten sets.

This pic is of a 4 axle(notice front axle on chassis is different from the rest, just like on the prototype) chassis with a 40' container and a four axle truck. 40' containers are placed on long chassis so heavy loads can be legal. I'm not really happy with the tag axle on the truck, and I may have to fix it.

This is a three axle 53' chassis with a 53' container.
