For the past few weeks when I try to do anything, reply to a topic, post a new topic, even view my alerts, the forum prompts me to authenticate as if I was not logged in. Yet on the upper right it shows my name and seems to think I am logged in. If I can't fix this issue, it's too much trouble for me to participate here anymore. Add to that the forum has been extremely laggy here in comparison to most forums - maybe it's trying to load adds or photo's but it makes it difficult to function in the forums.

It happens to me each time the little Microtrains special car promotional logo appears in the lower right of the screen. IE11 user and I'm happy with it otherwise.

I only get booted when I hover over Alerts with my mouse, I stopped using that function...can require endless relog's but I enjoy they folks here so just avoid that problem area-everything else seems to work just fine....very odd.

This is a known browser and/or settings issue. We are unable to intervene.

At work I used IE11 as it is our primary browser. At home I use Chrome.

Another thing I noticed is apparently due to all the adds, typing is often so laggy as to be troublesome. This is the only forum I experience a range of issues like lag/jerkinesss and login issues. Because of it I don't visit very often.

That is weird. I use Firefox or Chrome on a Win7 machine, and see no lag time/jerkiness issues with TrainBoard. Also, Chrome on iPad and Android phone work just fine.

No issues here. I had these same troubles with 9, 10 and 11. I dumped IE. Went with FF. I keep cookies and caches flushed, which helps greatly with maintaining best browsing speeds.

This can be a computer/browser issue and even one related to ISP.

NOTE: If this was a problem with our site, then everyone would be experiencing it. Such is not the case. Out of almost thirty thousand members, when it is one or perhaps two per month, we know it is not on our end.

Also, know that our site is not maintained by any amateur(s), but by an actual IT professional.

Well, I am an IT professional but IT covers a very broad range of skills and knowledge. Our "pipe" at work isn't very fat and doesn't seem to handle sites with lots of add content. This site seems to have a lot of add content. Typing is very jerky for me right now - I've had to re-type some stuff.

    Jim...

Is this the same computer and both IE and FF give you this, or have you gotten this on 2 different computers.

Also, what O/S, and also to block the extra junk try using AdBlock Plus and Ghostery... I see 4 trackers on this site right now.

Also, it might be worth a fresh install of a different browser.
