what is everyones favorite model on their roster and why?

mine is an Athearn SD40-2 it was the first decent power i got, my first locos were model power, it has been modified quite a lot now and it is one of the quietest running locos i have yes even compaired to the katos, its about to go into the paint shop again and be re-numbered to one i have seen.

I truly like them all. But if I had to choose a favorite it would have to be my Kato SD-45's. I have 2 of these engines and they run flawlessly. EL vintage of course!

I'd have to say it would be my 4-8-0 dressed in N&W's finest colors- black. Just looks right rounding the curves of my layout. A close second would be the Spectrum 2-8-0 - again just looks like it should be there. I model western Virginia and the rural setting makes the models look at home more so than any other place. Just my .02 cents, have a good one , Justin May

It would have to be my NYNH&H Mountain from PFM in the seventies, with working marker and headlights. Sufficiently weathered to have served New England well for many years.

I would have to say that my favorite locomotive would be...........
    A THREE WAY TIE!!!!
    The C44-9
    The C44AC
    The C60AC
To me, nuttin, and I mean nutting, matches the hulking brutish looks of these machines.
These all seem to say: "Get outta my way or I'll run you over!!!"
Of course, I am partial to GE!!!!!

My favorite model in my HO roster is an Overland steel bay window caboose, Southern. My favorite loco is a P2K Southern E-8 (black) [IMG]

My favorite locomotive? Probably a tie between the SSW SD45T-2 I kitbashed from a ton of Cannon parts, or my pair of Athearn Genesis undec SP SD70M's. I haven't gotten around to painting or detailing the SD70M's yet, but they sure look and run great; they'll look even better wearing gray and scarlet!

    Right now, I'd say it's a tie. I'm only running P2K GP-7' w/DB, & Atlas RS-3's. Like those first generation diesels.

I model the Rock Island and E-units seem to dominate the roster. I have all of the P2k factory versions plus I have custom painted my own P2k's. I also have several Rivarossi and Con-Cor's. With all of the paint schemes the Rock Island had I could still use more!
