(Fictitious)- END OF THE LINE FOR THE F's?
After more and more problems with cracked headers and worn out trucks, it may be the end of the line for the 15 F7's and F3's on the WT&C.
Number 2203 stumbled into Edd with major smoking problems on saturday, and was quickly replaced by 2681, ex-CSX #23 and Q-444 continuedon to Huntington, the results of the inspection were devestating. Cracked headers, broken pistons, and steaming drive columns, similar problems were reprted on 2208,2212, and 2200 oficials say the will most likely be traded in for 10 rebuilt SD40-2's from EMD. The 25 Ex-DT&I GP7-9's are going to London, Ontario to be rebuilt for a longer life-span. and will be equipped with AC radial trucks. The only BL2 #100 is under consideration to join the 25 GP7/9's on May, 1st on their journe to canada.

BC Rail just completed there buy out of
    Great Western
    Taikdo
    Some Russian RR
    UP
    BNSF
    CP
    CN
    HBR (Hudsons Bay)
    E&NR
    SRY
    Wharves
    Via Rail Canada
    RaiLink
    MRL

and has said every thing is going smoothly. BCR followed UPs lead and fired every one from the other RR, and used only there staff to move trains. At current time only 6 box cars have moved in a 24 HRS period. Paul Tellier has said he is happy with the deal, and that BCR has done a much better job with the buy out than CN or BNSF ever would.
Via owner Jean however you spell his last name, said that this merger has made transport in Canada much easier, and when asked what he thought about track being abbandond he replied "We are talking about Railroads, Canadian Pacific isn't a RR, its a hotel!"
All 126 diesels of BCR have started to be redployed to various locoations, however it has been found that it is a challenge to get them to England, so they will just abbondon the track there. All the Ex Via units were sold to Kool Aid so they could start their own passenger RR in the east.
All the BNSF units have been sold off to McDonalds, and will be included in Happy Meals.
All the CN equipment was burned as fast as possible.
CPR equipment was painted blue and dumped into Nanoose Bay to use for the US navies targets!!

    More details as they come....

CSXT has just completed there buyout of the BCR comglomerate listed above, and almost every other railroad in the world and has renamed them selfs CHESSIE SYSTEM. Chessie has also purchesed EMD to provide locomotives for the gigantic railroad. All ex BCR power was repainted in chessie and all the GE's of the world were quickly sold to The US armed forces (for target practice but they seem to be to easy to shoot because of all the smoke they generate) some GEs are being kept for stressed out people to take out there anger on (Chessie also gave free slege hammers to hit them with).

Didn't see this thread until I already posted this on another thread. But anyway...

    Delaide, NY
    -today- for immediate release.
Mr. Reginald Blauvelt, superintendent of the Delaide, Leight & Wrekked RailRoad announced today that in the interest of safety and modernazation, the operating department will begin installing lighted and operating switchstand lights on all main line turn-outs. Blauvelt noted that this innovation will take aproximately two years
and is only a part of the master plan to "bring our vital transportation link into the 20th century." Blauvelt further noted that schedules will be tightened and passengers will find a smoother ride with fewer stops between stations.
Initial reports from the engineers have been enthusiastic.

At 5:00 P.M. today the Grande Valley Railroad Company completed the final buy out and now owns the ENTIRE North American railroad system. When Johnathan (CATT!) Edwards was asked "Why?". He simply replied "Cause I'm greedy!"

Catt! went on to say that all locomotives would be heading for the paint shops to be repainted in the standard blue and yellow scheme of the Grande Valley RR.

The Orca Mountain RR proudly announces the addition of 10 dieselized GG-1s to its locomotive roster. These classic electric locomotives served for almost 50 years with the Pennsy, Penn Central and Amtrak until their retirement. It was thought that they sufered from extensive frame cracks due to their advanced age, and were thus offered at near scrap-metal prices. Our engineers carefully studied the x-rays, and discovered the cracks were only on the outer surface, and that there were actually many miles of service left in these nobel beasts. A large number of powerful and unused diesel engines were purchased at a government auction for a song. The resultant combination in our workshop produced these powerful, efficient locomotives for 1/3 the price of new locomotives of equal horsepower, and a classic locomotive rolls again in the beautiful mountains of Arizona. Two of these beauties can pull any passenger or freight train up our steapest grades.

TAMR has taken control of NMRA.

Teens now run everything, and are about to purchase UP, as it seams no one wants it!

Also, look for BC Rail to be taken over by Dane Nicholson

Interwest Rail System (IWRS) announces its intention to merge with Dakota Minnesota and Eastern (DME).
IWRS will assist DME with the Powder River Basin Line Expansion, as well as rebuild the track to IWRS Code 1 (which allows 75mph freight and up to 110mph passenger).
Less than 1 year after the merger with Conrail, which went smoother than expected, ontime percentage is at 96.7%, 3.8% higher than 1998, and 1.2% higher than 1999.
Revenue continues to grow, especially in the intermodal, paper/timber, and coal sectors.
Amtrak remains pleased with IWRS performance, saying "...IWRS track is the smoothest and best maintained, and allows Amtrak passenger trains to attain the best possible speed. IWRS's ontime percentage for Amtrak trains is the highest in the industry at 98.7%.....the cooperative spirit with which IWRS responds to problems, percieved problems, and issues is to be commended..."
On the locomotive front, IWRS announces an order for 250 more C44's, 50 AC44's, 150 AC60's from General Electric, to be built at the local Preston Locomotive Works. Delivery to start in October of 2000, with final delivery by the end of 2001.

    Immediate Release

Washington---At 4:35AM Attorney General Janet Reno has sent in her crack INS teams into the general offices of BCR and "released" Dane Nicholson to the custody of his parents.
The North American Rail Road industry was shocked and dismayed and vowed not to give up the struggle to keep BCR here. Amtrak critics have rushed to Capitol Hill to voice there objections to shocking "military tactics of Reno's Waco Wackos".
Microsoft Pres. Bill Gates was quoted as saying that BCR wasn't doing anything more that Microsoft was and should be allowed to persue free enterprise.
