I heard there were a couple of WC units on a NS train thru town this weekend, and yes, I missed them Harold
CN #309 at Cobourg 2005/05/20 with WC (Alsthom) 6059 (SD40-3), WC 7508 (SD45u) and WC (Alsthom) 6032 (SD40-3). Please excuse the poor quality photos.
Eastbound CN 2005-05-21 at Salem (missed the first unit number) CN 5300? British Columbia Railway B39-8E #1700 in the Whistler Northland livery. and GEC Alsthom SD40-3 #6033
BCR 747 is a class GMF 30 serial #786246-5 manufactured in 1979/09 by EMD. BCR bought this loco from Shamrock Coal (Oneida & Western) in 1987/05 where it was numbered #9954. BCR purchased three other SD40-2's from O & W. The remaining 11 BCR SD40-2's were manufactured by GMD and purchased directly. What a great looking engine.
CN train #306 with 150 cars at Cobourg on 2005/05/27 with units CN 2570, CN 5437, IC 6257 (SD40-3) and CN 4713. [ June 25, 2005, 04:07 PM: Message edited by: Milne ]
This last is no surprise. I see many CN coming east (north by timetable) off the ex-IC rails out of New Orleans. And if CN absorbs KCS (which makes sense), I expect I'll see many more at the Gulfport engine terminal.
CN train #106 at Cobourg 2005/05/27 with CN SD40-2W #5348 and WC SD40-2R #6604 leading this 80 car train.
CN train #369 at Cobourg on 2005/08/12 with an 81 car consist. Locomotives - CN 2619 (SD40u), WC 7638 (SD45u), LLPX 2232 (GP38-2) and LLPX 2032 (GP38).
Quite a mix of paint schemes there Also good to se that there are still plenty of CN units in stripes - one of my very favourite schemes
