The 201 Series in Chuo Line Orange probably means the most to me personally. My brother-in-law lived in Mitaka on the Chuo line and we would ride that to get around.

The Kato Mikes are not plug and play DCC but that is about the only thing. Mine worked on Unitrack down to 9.75" radius. (Office Christmas loop of track around the tree.)

    A Taurus

A C57 (Numbering inspired by Westfalen)
E10 The subject of some of my earliest and most recent posts (thanks all, it runs pretty good now, for an old metal Arnold)

My latest nearly favorite! Series 113-1500 Russ, if you know anyone with add on sets....

More to come - The pic quality is poor as I too everything out and put it on tracks for pics, still learning about taking good pics as well

Those are some nice locos, Marty. I'd like to get a D51 myself.
TetsuUma, I'm not running DCC so it's not a problem.

Not a bad collection you've got there.

I have been thinking of getting another C62 4-6-4, I had one years ago before I began to appreciate Japanese trains and I mutilated it trying to Americanize it but it never quite looked right.

    John, West,
Thanks, I like em. I basically haven't met a steamer I didn't like, but aside from E8s the American diesels take a back seat to the Japanese commuter, The German Taurus and the E18. I'd like to get some Japanese electric, I'm looking forward to a rerelease of Kato 5105 (the blue cars behind the C57) and I think I'm close to finding add on sets for the 113 series. I'm gonna light the Japanese cars, ad I'm hoping since they are led, they wont need decoders once I go DCC (the powered car will need a soldered in decoder, but I'll lve with the lights on, like I do now in DC.

The Kato LED lighting kits work fine on DCC without decoders.

Here's a good looking (I think) electric loco, a Czech-built Skoda Co-Co of 1966. It was a prototype test bed design for a large series of locomotives built for export to the old Soviet Union, the various ChS classes. The N scale model is an East German PIKO I bought on E-bay; needs a new power chassis and decent pantographs.

That's a cool looking loco. I've noticed that there are some interesting models coming from Eastern Europe. TB member Vlad has posted photos of his Russian models and they look very cool!
Again, I never had any interest in foreign trains until this thread and my interest in anime came together. I never even had an interest in electric power either. Now, I'm getting my EF66, and I'm looking at ED73s, ED75s, EF58s and EF65s! Like I said...maybe I need a second layout!

Here are a few of my German steamers. My Arnold mallets are my favorite of the bunch.

1st, I think I'm gonna build a roundhouse before I even have a layout. That pic is cool.
2nd from your perspective, those aren't international... :)
3rd I picked this up at a shop near where I was working today. It runs great for a 1960s Arnold, I just have to clean the brushes and commutator, it gets hot fast.

If I find some plastic, I may replace the windows as well

My latest 'foreign' purchase from Hobby Train via M.B. woo woo woo. Easy DCC conversion, the cab roof lifts off to reveal a 6 pin socket.

    Okay. Now, what is it?

On the subject of C62s, I think those are the best looking of all Japanese Steam. My latest ones, for the Tsubame passenger cars, are great.

Also, I tried to change the name to the "International" thread but they won't let me change the title.

    I found it a job

OK, I like the way this looks, so I'm thinking of trying my first minor detailing.
First, I'd like to remove the 225 (any suggestions? 91% IPA strong enough without damage?)
Second I saw a few actual BR 80s online. One was grey (I didn't like it) The other had some faded red near the bottom (typical of DB). ANyone have a reference, I could follow for what to paint red and an appropriate shade?
Third the windows are scratched plastic, Any leads on a material I could use to replace them?

were you asking about Westfalens or mine? Mine runs like a 1967 Arnold switcher... Actually, I can't say that, this is my first, but it runs loud like my other old arnold. It's either quieting as I run it, or it's making me deaf. It was clean to start. I just aded a little grease and brusher cleaning oil.

Yeah, that's the one. I couldn't remember the name. I can't imagine anything smaller than the Bachmann 44 Tonner I saw.
