I received the dome and arches for the Ft. Scott Depot from Sumner this morning. They look greatly fantastic. Will purchase some brick styrene early next week and start scratch building. Thank you Sumner so very much. Joe
When I visited the Green Country Model Railroadiers Association yesterday morning Dale Baker gave me four buildings, grain bin, tank farm and a 13 inch motorized turntable for my up coming HO layout. Thank you very much Dale !!! Joe Edit: I have about 20 turnouts for the layout and need to purchase some flex track in the near future.
Should receive a package of HO brick styrene Tuesday for the Ft. Scott Depot. Can see s scratch building project soon, picked up some square 3/16 inch Balsa wood for the corner supports. Joe
All I can say Joe is with all the help your getting it'll be a very nice and many modeler involved layout Kudos
Vince, you are right. I have a lot of members helping me with this HO layout. Thank you to everyone who has input into this layout, your help is greatly appreciated and thanks for the likes. It's been over 10 years since my last project in HO scale and 1984 before. 84 is when i changed to N scale, at first modeled Santa Fe and changed to Frisco in 1998. Joe
The brick styrene is at hobby shop in Owasso Saturday but will have to wait till Tuesday when they open again. A friend works for the post office distribution center in Tulsa and said they are slammed with packages. The trucks were being unloaded outside because the building was full of packages. Joe
This afternoon I ordered windows for the Ft. Scott Depot and started cutting walls. Feels great to be working on a project again, I was getting bored not being able to do anything or go somewhere when our truck was in the shop. All's right in the world now. Joe
Received the windows a few days ago and cut out the walls for Ft. Scott Depot. Currently cutting out the door and window openings this afternoon. Joe
Just finished drawing track plans, they might change a bit when I install track as many of you know. Altogether there are 17 turnouts on the layout. The yard for Ft. Scott are shorter than I would like but that can be addressed later. Barnseville is a time saver configuration with a lot of switching. Found a measuring cup that is perfect for 18 inch radius. After working with N scale since 1984 HO looks huge. Any suggestions are welcome. Joe
