At the monthly meeting of the Calesburg Chamber of Commerce Railroad Days Council, the representative of the BNSF made some announcements regarding exhibits that the Company has arranged for this years Festival. The Following are confirmed: • 1 SD/70 MAC • BN locomotive's 1 & 2, I assume these are the F units. • Amtrak Gensis unit. • Once again the METRA equipment will come down from Chicagoland and provide tours of the Galesburg Yard. • Various types of M of W equipment including an antique hand pump section car from the early 20th century. • Negotaitions are still underway for an additional major attraction. This year's Festival is scheduled for June 24th and 25th at Galesburg, Ill and is now in its 23rd year. Regarding the locomotives to be displayed at the Depot/Museum area. Maybe I got the locomotive type wrong. My notes say that the representative of the BNSF said "they were going to display one of the new pumpkins I think they are sending SD/70MACs. It will be whatever they send us." Harry M.
