The owners of this shed only possess two pieces of equipment (the little thing you see outside and what's inside).

    I'm giving up!!
Instead of going to bed, I just spent the better part of 5 HOURS
searching, only to come up empty. So far anyway.
Gonna be so !@#$% mad if this is in my own backyard, so to speak!!
Been trying to figure if it's shortline, industrial or something else.
Used all those terms in Google search(es) with no luck!

The piece of rolling stock comes from a line that closed in 1953. (and we are also in the state of CO)

Scratches head. As I recall RGS closed in 1951. So that can't be the rolling stock. Everything I can think of, such as Colorado & Wyoming, had more than more engine.

Another hint to help along: The line mentioned in the previous hint served Denver (and for that matter had it in the name).

This sounds as though we are talking past tense. The operation no longer exists?

Thie operation exists, it is that the single piece of rolling stock comes from a defunct line. (The hint refers to the piece of rolling stock, not about the operation)

Wild guess time: Is the older item ex-Denver & Inter-Mountain?

I can't pinpoint the current operation. Have been looking around Lakewood and Commerce City at Denver Rock Island RR. But doubt that's the one.

Yes, the item is from the Denver and Intermountain. Now, use that as a hint of what to look for.

Well, there is only surviving ex-D&IM artifact I can find listed. But it's location is stored supposedly where there is no track at present.

PS- I should at least get a partial credit on this for effort! :)
