When I looked at the Denver Federal Center aerials, there was no track. The car is supposedly in storage inside.

Maybe 1/4 mile of track to the north, ending at W 4th street.
Grade curves and meets RTD line perfectly! Betting this is where
they would connect in, at some point, if they get details figured
out and agreed to, by all parties! My guess anyway.

Congrats to Keith for finding the location/owner and to BoxcabE50 for getting as far as the owner-ish.

I should really stop giving locations as it seems I make them more difficult than necessary.:teeth:

Interesting thing though, I was looking in/around Denver.
I just never went that far West of town! Had I done that
last night, I might have come across it a little sooner.

So, what used to be there, with all those removed tracks, leaving only switches?

I was also partially there on location-ish. I had noted earlier that I was looking I Lakewood/Commerce City. :)

According to Denver's Railroads, Forrest/Albi, this was the site of Remaco - Remington Arms.
Was to be sold, for $90,000, to the Associated Railroads, consisting of:
Santa Fe, Burlington, Rock Island, Colorado & Southern and Rio Grande.

Portion of the line west of Remaco, shall be sold for no less than net salvage value.
If no purchase, decision provides that the line may be abandoned and scrapped.
So, on March 16, 1953, the D&IM passed into history, except the 6.5 miles mentioned above.
I'd have to search many books to locate more information.

From other information found, the Associated Railroads hauled out millions of rounds of ammo daily, and in
later years, they hauled in coal for the power plant that provided heat to the DFC buildings.
Was hoping maybe I could find some sort of a track plan for the area. So far, nothing.

Hmm. To me it looked as though those tracks were a bit outside of what my searching had designated as being the plant side. It much have been even larger than what I have found indicated.
