    Greetings TrainBoard Members.
below I want to share progress of my second HO layout build.the layout is a 10x9 loop + peninsula, hidden lower level staging yard, digitally controlled with DCC++
Track plan. things evolved somewhat during construction, some sidings did change shape.[IMG]flattened block diagram[IMG]
rough framing the benchwork. that's the room I have to play with[IMG]Beginning of one loop helix[IMG]
Lower Staging yard and Engine yard . track is code100 on the lower level.[IMG]Almost closed the loop[IMG]
Bascule bridge on hinged section[IMG]Cabinet to support the weight of the layout. today it already has drawers installed[IMG]
Here is how things look today. wife no longer complaints that our family room looks like construction zone.
Dell all-in-one (touch enabled) is serving as JMRI workstation

Wiring and electronics drawer. IBT2 + ESP32 comprise the DCC++ command station.
About 50% of block and 40% of turnouts are wired.
Initial attempt at current detection with ACS712 chips didn't work so for now blocks are jumped together and awaiting parts from china.
digitrax PM42 provides for 3 reverse loop sections. DS64 reused from prior build as CDU for coil motors on 4 peco switch machines . rest of the turnout motors are built with 9g servos and controlled with 3 PCA9685 servo drivers on dedicated Arduino nano.

Overall as of now . I'm still trying to find better angles to take pictures.

This looks like it's going to be an interesting layout to operate with lots of switching and passing sidings, reversing loops and a wye, etc. Also looks like you're making good progress. Am I right in thinking the lower level under the peninsula is a staging yard? In addition, the big bascule bridge makes me wonder if there's going to be a port area?

First off - when you decided to do a Bascule bridge you weren't messing around. That thing is huge!

How is the staging working out clearance wise?
