Hi Ken I always say I will but I'll say it again I'll try to take some photos. I plan on running some Milw freight. Maybe 70 cars or so. My power will be Kato SD40-2s and I have 1 SD45. I'm also trying to get my 1947 Hiawatha finished. Not sure about power unti I get my F7s in the spring. Maybe I'll us FTs or E6s. Rob
Hi Greg I'm going to be there Wednesday and Monday new years eve. If you want to go another day let me know, I probably could fit it in. Rob
Man oh Man I would love to be on on this too! I got my GN passenger consist with the F3 ABA in the empire builder simplified Livery that need to get out and strech some time! not to mention the class C climax, of corse I still need some skeletons to pull behind it!
Posted some pics of my run on MRNS club layout over in the ns cale forum. Enjoy Ken! I hope to go back and actually visit the entire exhibit. I'll try and take some more photos then.
I saw yu'd uplaoded some views on RI. See there was some Milw represented. Yours? Guess I'd better check that N Scale thread! Boxcab E50
Wow, I've never seen this thread before today. I just read it in it's entirety. This is some amazing work, I can't wait to see more pics of the bridge.
Be sure to look through older threads as well. Greg built a couple of other projects prior to this present endeavor. Which were spectacular in their own right. Boxcab E50
Just wanted to drop a quick note and let everyone know that I'm going to be displaying my Renslow Trestle Model at the Pacific Northwest Railroad Prototype Modelers Meet in Bellevue WA this coming Sunday (May 4, 2008). I will be bringing a total of 13 feet of my layout. Wont be able to run any trains but this section will be on display. For info on the show see: http://www.northwestrpm.com/RPM_Meet.htm
The prototype modelers meet was pretty cool and went over well. Here's a link to some photos: 2008 Rails By the Bay PNW RPM meet Photo Gallery by Keith Thompson at pbase.com Within this page there is another link to more photos.
Greg- What sort of comments did your display receive? A question- What is Steve Depolo doing now? He switched from Milw Lines West electrified, to freelance O scale steam short line. Now I see AT&SF diesels? (What scale?) Boxcab E50
Greg, From what I've seen, you've tremendous talent. Keep up the good work. I don't model the Milwaukee but I've always been admirer of the line and the many scenes that it has to offer. Though I do the NP, I couldn't leave out the Milwaukee entirely so I managed to find a rib-sided caboose and an Atlas-Kato RS1, both in the old paint schemes. We'll have an interchange point where the MILW has trackage rights, runs a local and interchanges cars with the NP. I hope to have it done in a couple of months, time permitting. Again excellent diarama and that bridge work is shaping up into an incredible structure.
Greg: Beautiful modules and great pictures of the meet, too. Anyone know of a prototype modelers meet in Texas? I've never heard of one. Thanks.
Flash- Good question. I'm not acquainted enough with those folks to be sure. I have heard of meets in such places as the St. Louis area, Illinois, Pacific NW, and a couple of other sites. Not certain if they're simply loose knit groups. Or if there's a parent organization somewhere. Google? Boxcab E50
