I did notice the jacking pads being different on some, and some in different locations too. That ATSF version is spot on tho and you can see an air reservoir under a corner.
I have found a CSX version but it would take 2 of your cars as the well deck is about twice as long as your version lol.
I believe the mods you suggest are a great idea.
I have also found an Erie car image, as well as LV, L&N drawings, the LV had 6 of the cars. I think NS had a car, no images for NW as yet but still looking.
The more I learn about this car the more I am impressed with it. The axle loading would be lighter than 4 axle 125 ton cars, so it could be used on lighter rail locations.
Finishing up my second car, and third set of trucks.
Gonna try to sell the first one.

Here is the 2nd on of these for me. I milled under the well deck and ends, placed some thick lead sheeting, so it can be ran MT. Also changed the color of the transformer from the former one. Here it is loaded up and ready to go out to the MRR barn and get placed in service. The brass rods just sit on the deck while the clevises can rotate, the transformer is held in place on the well deck with styrene angle pieces.

    Thanks for looking.
