I went by Hamlet (NC) yesterday and saw quite a lot! The crown jewel for me was this unit: As you can tell from the picture, it is an SD45 core rebuilt to SD40-2 standards! Harold P.S. Corey! I think you need this one for your site... let me know
Other in line were: Sorry, but the morning sun was a very big issue that I had to contend with.... I did the best I could by spot metering, but I miss my polarizer (filter) Harold
And the trailing unit: I like it... an SD40R or SD40-2 (in an SD40 body) So that's it for now.... that covers the YARD, but not the action I caught near the station (on the East-West line). I hope you enjoy the pictures... comments welcomed Harold [ 05 May 2001: Message edited by: chessie ]
Thanks Alan, That positive response means a lot . I enjoy sharing my photos with others who may not be so lucky to see the trackside action (heck, a lot of the times, I see no trackside action either ). I think one of the greatest things about railroading or railfanning is sharing: if it were not so, there would be no books, magazines or web sites to get others interested! Harold

Great work Harold , I thought I took alot of photos Anyways I have been working ALOT lately but I have not been bringing my camera to work , been working night jobs most the time .
Dave, I do take a lot of photos, but since they are digital, it effectively costs me nothing. I don't get that many opportunities to take train pictures, so I have to get all I can while the gettin' is good. Harold
Very nicely done Harold! That's an interesting #8335 Looks like you got to see a lot of action...thank you for sharing and keep 'em coming!
