Thanks, Mark! I'm a long way from Champlain, but have always appreciated the old photos, the road's reputation, and their excellent taste in old diesels (and willingness to spend what it takes to keep them running). But those pics taught me a few more things to love about the road, like those handsome old turreted brick stations! Post more pics any time!
Nice photos! I too grew up with the D&H close by. Spent my time chasing trains from Binghampton to Albany.
I am thinking about building a model of that station for my outdoor layout, G 1/29, roughly 4 feet long by almost 2 feet wide by just estimating the size of the building. I am looking into any of the recent upgrades to see if there are plans of the building available from either the city zoning or architects for a more accurate measurement
