Hello everyone. Thanks for the add. I just started getting back in to N scale. I have quite a bit back in the late 80's early 90's. My ex wife got it all. Trying to figure out what is the easiest way to go. buying a set to start with or buying track, locomotive and cars. Been a long time and prices have sure risen since I was last in to model railroading. Thanks for any help.
Welcome bambamshere! Welcome to the ranks of divorced and returning to the hobby N scalers. Are you interested in any particular RR or time frame? Anything goes is fun too!
I think for right now anything goes. I picked up a 4-6-2 steam locomotive the other day. I think I just wanted to see how small n scale was again. I also got it for under $50. I have been looking at sets but don't want anything to cheap but don't want to spend a million dollars either. Like I said not sure about sets and buying track and the rest of it. A set would give something to approve on but then there is the e-z track. What is e-z track like. Is code 55 or 80 better?
I second that! Kato is worth the extra money. My current layout is the third layout to use the same 1990's Unitrack not counting table top set ups.
