Does anyone here have any pics of the NS 50 foot intermodal flats that they would be willing to share with me? Thanks for your time.
if you know the number series that they are in, you can look on railroad picure archives.net under the railroad name and rolling stock. Or you can hang out at Austell and get you some pics of them passing by.
Are you talking about the 50' flats that NS made from converted boxcars? If so, I probably have a bunch. Harold
Harold, Yes, that is the car I am looking for pics of. Like Raymond suggested, I did find several shots on RR Picture Archives. Almost all were side views and all were loaded. What would really be helpful is a down on type shot where I could see the deck of the car since I now have some good views of the sides. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Richard, I checked the photos that I have... so far, no deck shots. However, I'll keep an eye out for those units and see if I can't get some shots. I have some models of the unit by Micro-Trains in N scale. Harold
Next time I'm down by Brosnan Yard and catch an intermodal (which is a hit-or-miss proposition), I'll keep my eyes out. I've seen 'em in intermodal trains headed south to Valdosta & Jacksonville.
Thanks Bob. I have seen tons of these cars over the years and can't believe I never took any good pics of them. Shame on me and thanks to all of you guys for the help.
When you think NS and freight cars, there's only one site to remember... krunk.org http://www.krunk.org/~joeshaw/pics/ns/flats/tofc.shtml Specifically...
