First, welcome to Trainboard! You'll really like it here. Lot's of good folks and alot of information. I was wondering if you could tell us what a typical work week is like for you. Are you away from home alot, long hours, etc, etc.... Thanks! Andy ------------------ Moose River RR Company "Service First*Excellance Always" CSX+Conrail+Nscale=FUN!!! NARA Member #9
Moose , hi . I am on a spareboard which means I protect all unassinged trains and when guys on the preffered trains take a day off or go on vacation . Most weeks I work 5 to 6 days . Summertime can work up to 80 hours a week . I am guarunteed Tweleve Hundred Dollars a week no matter how many days I work . As long as I don't miss call or call in sick ect... Last week I worked a round tripper on Monday . Port Huron to Battle Creek and cabbed back home to PH . Round trip 12 hours . Did the same thing Wednesday in 10 hours . On Friday I worked auto train #271 from PH to BC and was on duty 9 hours . Stopped and set out cars at Flint & Lansing and also picked up . Went to hotel and layed over for 10 hours and took tri-level train #376 , empty from BC to PH . 8 hours on duty . Last week I worked only 4 days . We work most weekends , on call 24-7 . Luckily I got a cool wife
