Hi all, I'm a freshly registered user from Russia. I was facinated by model railroads when I was a kid, being introduced to German H0 and TT scale of late Eastern Bloc era (mostly PIKO). Revived my interest almost 20 years ago when DCC and microcontrollers found their way into the area, built me a few decoders and a command station based on MERG designs. Never was able to build any decent layout though (and probably never will, being rather a DIY and tinkerer type of person), however always fancied a small fiddle yard the size of a bookshelf. Now there's another twist with DCC++ and microcontrollers getting dirt cheap so I'll blow dust off my rusty locos!
