I purchased and moved into a house in Nov 2017 just after Thanksgiving. It was a bank owned home at the time and had been neglected so it needed some work done although the basic house was in goodshape according to the inspector. Wife and I spent the first year remodeling the kitchen and partially remodeling the master bath and a few other projects - replaced water rotted front door threshold and new front door etc. Unfortunately the basement finishing didn't start until late fall of 2018 - pulled the permit in early Dec 2018 but had plumbing and wiring run in the weeks prior. Here is the basement at move-in, which at least was framed in already. Wife and I did DIY - drywall going in early 2019 We also installed drop ceiling and LED lights and vinyl flooring. Basment passed inspection about a year later, Nov 2019 Began errecting layout benchwork last December - starting with two 8-foot long sections topped with Homasote re-used from the previous layout: Basic track plan here and shows sections of benchwork added to date Here I'm mocking up same sections to be sure it fits per the scale drawing. Up on legs:
looks great, pro level layout so far. i'm not quite sure what magic you use to keep your worksite so clean.
Great looking benchwork and basement Jim!!! Bet it smells like pine wood central, l like the smell of fresh cut wood. Joe
I am making some effort to keep cleaning up and there is an adjacent room with the mitre saw and more lumber etc. It's an up hill battle as I am oranizationally challenged!
