    Cracked Proto axles

    Flash and Les,

Thank you both. I never thought I'd have this problem but so much has been written about that I was bound to experience is sooner or later. I have about 5 E units but I've never of it happening with them... Only the 4 axle units seem to suffer...

I'm working on changing out the couplers and putting on details to my heavy weight SP Lark set. I'm also adding weight to the cars since IHC doesn't seem to be able to, and up next is my IHC SP&S set.

I took a little time from operating and did a little backdrop painting.

In the process of building the Walthers Milwaukee Station for our club. My normal workbench for my usual N scale modeling didn't cut it, had to move to the dining room table. This kit is huge! Guess that's what happens when I go from N to HO :D

Here's my HO scratchbuilt BNSF FleXibeam hybrid centerbeam flat that I'm working on. Still waiting for decal sheet to do the reporting marks. I pieced together the FleXibeam logo using a letter jumble, and, yes, the logos are actually offset from center, just like the prototype.

This is an Atlas, but everything inside is stamped Kato. It runs like a Kato too :D

Nice job! I have one of those in L&N colors. It's one of the smoothest running locos I have. Believe it or not I have never had the shell off of it.

I am currently building 4 ExactRail PS 4427 Covered Hoppers on an assembly line basis, this is the current progress at this time.

This is the setup on my Workbench.

After the installation of the car weights, for some reason they included 8 weights while only six are needed, I will some the extras in my IMRC 4750's.

This is after the installation of the bulkheads and the center sills.

    Thanks for looking.

I'm interested in small industrial spur railways and am working on a hot metal car kit manufactured by the State Tool and Die Company in Ohio...

I've been working on this Photo Diorama and got just about finished it; and decided to weather a few cars and see how things looked.

This Weeks Work on ER 4427 Kits

Here are pictures of the next steps in building my Exact Rail PS 4427's.

After installing slack adjuster and airline.

Installing Sill Steps on the Bolster Platform.

Installing Bolster and Bolster Caps on the Body.

Installing Retainer Valve, Retainer Valve Air Line, Air Reservoir, Triple Valve, Brake Cylinder and Linkage on B End of Car.
That little Retainer Valve at the top of the car was an item I launched across the work bench and finally found about an hour later.

    Thanks for looking.

    A turntable for Salina

Now I'm busy with the Sequoia Scale Models kit. But the biggest part comes still, wiring the turntable. The kit gives this to the modeler.
