    HOn30 galloping goose ?
I found this at an estate sale and picked it up wondering what it was. It is made in Japan with a motor on top of the rear drive wheels that is connected by meshing gears. I’ve tried finding info on this but have come up with nothing. It’s brand new but no box , dang it. But is cool looking. I’ve tested it but it’s really noisy as probably because it’s been sitting for some time. I was wondering if anybody had any info on this piece. The manufacturer is Sugiama Seisakusho. The bottom is brass but the body is plastic. Any if would be appreciated pics included

I believe Sugiyama did these in both HOn3 and HOn30. Clearly if yours runs on N scale (gauge) track, it is their HOn30 version.

Thanks. I’m wondering why I can’t find any info on this company or this loco.

It has been some years since these were made. They also did a Shay and I believe a Heisler, among other offerings. I am wondering where to find more info. Perhaps a Google search?

Been there done that. All that comes up is a company for small armatures.

I can find a fair amount of Sugiyama/Flying Zoo HOn30 mentions, but nothing dating their manufacturing era.
