I drive by an old factory on my way to work. It's a big brick building with arched windows, an artifact from the years when 'factory' didn't mean 'big ugly cheap building to churn out junk products.' It's an attractive building that I would love to put in my layout. (I'll try to get pictures later) This building is 3 stories high and covers a fair chunk of ground. I expect that I'll have to compress and/or just use pieces of it to define the edge of a layout. Short of scaling this thing with tape-measure in hand, how should I get some idea of sizes and angles and such?
